On the first day at the South Learning Centre, we learnt about different search engines that we could use and how to narrow down our searchs.

Today at the South Learning Centre, we learnt to use a wiki and how to put stuff on it. We then took our group photos and put it on the wiki.
Wednesday 20 May
Today, we finalized our questions. Here are our questions:
1) Why do they leave their own country?
2) What is their life like in a new country?
3) Why do they choose to come to New Zealand?
4) What challenges do they face?
5) What and how have groups of refugees affected Christchurch?

Today, we found a video called "Matt Damon Tours South African Refugee Camp" which is shown on our Videos page.
Wednesday 27 May
We found another video called "MTV Exiled: Life in African refugee camps" which is also shown on our Videos page.
Thursday 28 May
At the SCL, we learnt about "www.delicious.com" which is a site for us to bookmark our pages. We were also told about the different end products. E.g. Glogster, powerpoint, photostory, etc. The last thing we learnt on that day was how to insert a link onto our page to go to another page.
Wednesday 3 May
Today, we emailed the Refugee Services for information. We also made a photo page with photos. Then we decided to do a Glogster for our final product.
Friday 5 June
We sent an email to the Christchurch Refugee Services asking them for some information and hopefully, they reply.
Monday 8 June
The Christchurch Refugee Services replied to our email with a bit of information on it.
Wednesday 10 June
Today, we missed the bus to the South Learning Centre and we are stuck in the library. We were told that their session is about how to make a Glogster and we were supposed to do a Glogster for our end product.
